Amity and Verity

I don’t publish enough of these two beauties on here!  I am feeling resolved to change that!!  Our girls, Amity and Verity, just turned 4.5 yrs old and 2.5yrs old in April.  I usually try to take some nice pictures of them around this time : )  We went to see the very last of the tulips at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in the late evening to catch that gorgeous sunset light.  The tulip fields were dwindling, but the red clover was in full bloom and made a gorgeous backdrop!

Right now Amity is into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with super heroes still a close second.  She keeps reminding me that she is going to be either a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle or Spiderman for Halloween.  She is finishing up a 5 week swim lesson course this week and is already talking about moving onto the next thing: gymnastics.  If she had it her way we’d be doing swim, gymnastics, ballet, and piano all at the same time.  Nope.  Not gonna happen baby girl.  Not because she couldn’t handle it…because it has taken her commitment phobia mama all she has to commit to even 5 weeks of twice a week swim lessons.

Verity wants to be just like her big sister.  She will do anything that Amity does.  She loves to make us laugh by telling knock-knock jokes.  She completely butchers them ; )  She loves having books read to her and likes to point out all the things in each picture.  She is a quieter soul and I find her having a few more quiet moments than Amity.  Sometimes she’ll wander off and sit down with the legos or a book.  She loves babies and animals, specifically baby animals. : )

They like to turn on “princess music” (Disney station on Spotify) and put their princess dress up clothes on and twirl and dance in the living room.  Legos have started in our house, and this is something they both really like to do together.  Some nights they will take long baths playing and talking together…other nights they will be screeching and torturing each other and we pull them out real quick.  On that note there is a lot of sibling bickering going on these days, but I’m also very grateful they have each other to not just bicker and fight with but to learn how to share, take turns, look out for one another, play together, and love like only sisters can.

These two girls remind me of my greatest unanswered answered prayer.

I love you girls, Mama
