When Greg got home from work I had the girls all ready to go to the park. This weekend has turned out to be so nice and Friday evening was no exception. They had just launched themselves from the swings and “flew” into the air. Some of the photos I took of them doing this show her face with a look of trepidation, or fear, or glee. I love this one of satisfied delight. Man, is he a good dad or what? He plays so hard with them.

Originally, this photo did not even make the cut, but then I kept thinking of that face over and over and went back to it and decided, actually, it was The One. This look! Oh, my little Ver Bear. It is so genuinely HER.

This morning we went to Champoeg State Park to do a little location scouting for a mini session event I’m holding next weekend. It was pretty chilly and Amity was worse off because her pants were wet. Why were they wet? Well, today Amity apparently decided that she wasn’t potty trained (after weeks of being potty trained). So many accidents – seriously, I don’t know what got into her! The thrill of the negative attention?? So there was an accident in the car on the way up to the park, I had a change of clothes for her and we put her back in the carseat on top of a ziploc bag to keep her new clothes dry. Well, she pulled the ziploc out from under her while we were driving and got herself wet. So she has wet pants in this photo. She’s pretty darn cute though and you’d never know…

Normally Greg hates wearing the ergo. I really mostly enjoy it. So it is a rare occasion to see him with it on but I was photographing so he obliged. Verity wasn’t feeling so hot and was very content to ride around in there while we walked around. The sun was glorious today!

Did we go to the pumpkin patch today? Nope. This month’s weekends are filled. Fred Meyer’s pumpkins were on sale for 18 cents a pound, so I didn’t let procrastination get the best of me this year; we picked some up today. In the first photo, doesn’t the look on their faces make you think they’re watching Greg do something utterly Amazing, like fly across the yard with a cape? He’s singing Pat-A-Cake.
