We take breaks when your baby needs them. I follow their lead. Parents and siblings are always welcome to be part of the session, and I gently guide you so nothing feels stiff or forced.
Most sessions take place within the first 7–14 days after birth, but beautiful images can be created beyond that window as well.

When to Book Your Newborn Session
The best time to book your newborn session is during your second or third trimester.
Your due date is reserved on my calendar, and once your baby arrives, we schedule your session within the ideal window.
This ensures you don’t have to worry about finding availability during those first busy days.

The drive is simple, and once you arrive, everything is ready for you.
Soft wraps, simple outfits for baby, and a curated wardrobe for moms are all included so you don’t have to stress about planning.

for newborns up to 8 weeks old
Newborn sessions are designed to feel simple and straightforward.
To reserve your baby’s due date, a session fee is paid at booking and is applied toward the collection you choose after your session.
Most families invest between $1,250 and $2,200 depending on the collection they choose.
You’ll view your images after your session and select the collection that feels right for your family.
Bump to Baby Bundle
Many families choose to pair their maternity session with a newborn session so they can document the full story from bump to baby. When you book both, you’ll receive a discount on your maternity order and a discount on your newborn order.

Many families choose to document more than just one moment.
A maternity session captures this season before baby arrives, while a Fresh 48 session tells the story of those first hours after birth.

Newborn Photography FAQs
My studio is located in Salem, about 45 min from Lake Oswego, depending on traffic. I've had many families make the drive from Lake Oswego for a newborn session and say that the drive went by quickly and was smooth sailing.
My sessions generally start at 10:00 am, and the reason for this is two-fold. First, I have found that babies are less fussy in the morning. Second, traveling between 9 and 10 am is traffic-free.
Most families book during the second or third trimester to reserve their due date on my calendar.
Yes. Parents and siblings are always welcome to be part of a full newborn session, and I guide you through everything so it feels natural and easy. For Petite Newborn sessions, you’re still welcome to come along, but the session is focused on baby only.
You really only need to bring yourselves and your baby. I’ll walk you through everything in a prep guide before your session, but I do recommend having a few extras on hand like a change of clothes, a pacifier, and a bottle.
All of the wraps, blankets, and bonnets are provided in the studio. I’m always curating new pieces with soft, natural textures, so if you come across something you love, just let me know and I’m happy to incorporate it.
Most sessions take place in my Salem studio, which many Lake Oswego families prefer for a calm, fully prepared space. I do offer in-home lifestyle newborn sessions in Lake Oswego as well. If that’s something you’re interested in, just mention it in your inquiry form.
